Wat Cheung is one of the oldest pagodas in Moung Russey district. It is based in Don Try village, Chrey commune, about 60.58 km from Battambang provincial hall and in the southeast part of Battambang province. Visitors can travel there by car or motorbike. Originally, the monastery of the pagoda was built facing the north and Buddhist statue was also facing the north, which is why it was called Wat Cheung (North Pagoda). However, It is now renamed Wat Amporvon.
